My Go-To Recipes: My Top 10 Favorite Meals!
Cooking is something that I absolutely love doing. I love experimenting with different flavors and ingredients to create delicious meals. I also love trying out new recipes and exploring different cuisines. But sometimes, it's nice to have a few tried-and-true recipes up your sleeve. Here are my top 10 favorite meals that I make on a regular basis!
1. Spaghetti Bolognese
This is a classic Italian dish that I absolutely love. I like to make my own version of it that uses ground beef, tomatoes, garlic, onions, and herbs. Serve it over a bed of spaghetti and you have a delicious and hearty meal.
2. Chicken Fajitas
This one is always a hit. I like to marinate the chicken in a mix of lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, and oregano. Then I sauté it with bell peppers and onions and serve it with warm tortillas, guacamole, and salsa.

Grandma's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies
These delicious cookies are an absolute classic and have been a staple of our family for generations. The secret is in the special blend of ingredients that make these cookies soft and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. Here's the recipe:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
Grandpa's Sunday Gravy
This hearty and flavorful tomato sauce has been a Sunday tradition in our family for decades. Grandpa always made a big batch of it, and it would simmer away all day while the aromas filled the house. Here's the recipe:
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 2 (28 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until softened. Add ground beef and sausage and cook until browned. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste and stir until combined. Add sugar, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve over your favorite pasta and enjoy!
Mom's Apple Pie
Mom's apple pie is the perfect ending to a Sunday dinner. It's sweet and tart and the flaky crust is to die for! Here's the recipe:
- 2-3 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 pie crusts
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Mix until combined. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate. Pour apple mixture into pie plate. Drizzle melted butter over the top. Place remaining crust over the top and crimp edges. Cut a few slits in the top crust. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
